    TOLD YA! I had no idea what that did so the second day I had the phone I happened to be at the Apple store and I had to ask. The guy takes my phone, flips the switch and silent mode activated. Now I use it daily. I thought it was a broken button or a dummy button that wasn't pushable.

    But back to the point...if you would've listened to me you wouldn't of had this problem in the first place.

    Hope you learned your lesson.
