it's because it became a multi-million dollar enterprise. this is no sports, this is business. and in business people can play it hard and mean. or am i all wrong and did all the old legends from the tour use some form of doping or blood-transfusion as well? but we did not have the technology to test it?
it's all a game after all. and it would not be so bad if it dies. the best days of the tour have long been gone. now it just looks sad. pathetically sad.
