Well I could go the route of the piss take, but Im in a good mood today so here goes:

    1. What are the companies competitors and how are they presenting themselves, usually a good place to start as you can see what not to do.

    2. Do the head honchos have an image they would like to portray that could feed into the logo.

    4. Whats the company name, can you make a reference to some part of the name in a mark?

    5. Do something fun or rubbish or weird, whatever, but just start putting ideas down on paper, once you start kicking out ideas and do some research more will follow.

    6. look at the visual elements of the companies, posters = layers sitting on top of each other (sheets of paper, relevnat to printing too) peeling corners, printers = ink, registration marks, crop marks, etc.

    7. They do 3 distinct things, so you could start with an abstract concept of three elements coming together.

    8. If it still aint happening, Helvetica Neue 75 bold for the company name and a full stop. Badabing badaboom and yer done.

And remember, don't get disheartened, just start scribbling/doodling/workin in illy whatever. Good luck chief.
