    yeah, between the 1.8T and 2.0T, definitly go w/ 2.0T.

    the 1999.5 1.8Ts are better though, maybe the best of them all. locking center diff, no EDU, and upgraded turbo seals stock, along with better ignition that previous (they would overheat and die from that cycle).

    aside from this, the 2.0 is waaaay tunable and can take higher boost loads due to stonger bottom-end. all relative for sure, but unless you can find a 1.8 that has already been tuned (read: upgraded where it should be, and then in that case the 1.8 would be awesome), i would look to the 2.0.

    the late model allroads are sweet though and with a simple tranny ECU re-flashing (if auto), and making sure the airbags are either swapped or solid, they are nice rides.
