    i read about a 'powernap' somewhere, where you drink an espresso/coffee, then immediately lie down and close your eyes for 15 minutes. basically your nervous system gets a rest, you clear your mind and wake up when the caffeine kicks in. it worked for me. also, i tend to start getting tired after lunch, around 3/4 pm. instead of staring at the screen waiting for the day to end, i go out, get a coffee and a donut and read the paper for 30/45mins, then stay an hour or 2 later, working till 6/7pm.
