Anyone here ever play with 'Wireshark'? I did a wee while ago - left it to 'record' unencrypted traffic locally - fuck me! i was quite surprised how open and visible all that data is. I didn't pry too far, but was able, with a mere 15 minutes worth of details, to build up quite a picture of one of the other tenants in this building. From their myspace identity and friends, to what holiday they were buying and even what they were searching for in Google. I'm not that technical and it was damned easy to do. It did set my imagination going (I pictured myself as a latter-day Sandra Bullock, hacking my way to supremacy over Norf London), but I guilted myself out of it pretty quickly.
