    Didn't think about it until I bought it, most of the updates will consist of a software update, downloaded through iTunes.

    Hardware updates might include more memory or a higher res camera. Even if they want to add PTT, software could reprogram the volume button for that feature.

    I feel that the hardware updates will be necessary at about the time the battery life goes south and you'll need a new handset anyway.
