there are so many ways to do this sort of thing, just systematically think about what you want to do then work out how you'd do it in flash.
you could control the colour of things using actionscript tints, as one suggestion - so look no flashkit etc for tips on that.
you will be able to find slider tutorials etc too.im afraid your gonna have to hash together loads of things to create what you want.
