Straight Pride Parade...
You bring up a great point.
I'm normally put off by the Pride parade because it's full of the kind of thing the gay community shouldn't be doing much of if they're trying to get accepted by people in the community who generally don't accept homosexuals.
My point: There isn't a parade for heterosexuals to celebrate the ability to have sex with each other. Not saying that's all the Pride parade is about, but that's what plently of it embelishes.
All I'm saying is, there will always be unaccepting people in any city, and the majority of things in such a parade are what put people off to the whole idea.
I think the parade is fun, Chicago is very open minded and people have a great time.
It was seriously one of the most fun days I've had in 5 years of living here.
