so i haven't seen this old friend from back in the early days for a while, until that day.. he has settled, with a capital S. We have nothing in common anymore. He has kids, 3 cars, 7 pets and a giant plasma tv set. i have a few books and rusty bucket of sentiments and a wee cigar box full of ambitions.
i told him, when we we're just the two of us, we were friends. as soon as one starts to settle they will only be left with nothing but acquaintances.
then i closed my window as i turned the steering wheel seeing him through my rear view mirror, strawling away with two of his dalmatians, his head slightly bent over in the early summer rain.
