And...when job seeking, does this type of equipment factor into your decision to take the job or not?

yes it does. right now i'm freelancing at a place downtown, old hp desktop with an old compaq 19" monitor. TERRIBLE! but i see their designers have nice hp boxes and dual 20" widescreen dell monitors.
the other places i'm interviewing at i always ask what they use and the setup i'll be working on. it really is important.
