IT really all depends... what your doing - who your shooting for. To many factors. I think for everything pro-digital these days - one shoots in RAW format -- so it has to go through a RAW file converter. And you can use photoshop for this if you want - but there are others as well. I think everything goes through some digital manipulation these days...
What are you doing? Writing an artical? Quote me... ha!
