  Same thing happened to me dude & it only became apparent after we made the crossover that, no matter what you knew from Quark or the other Adobe applications, none of us really knew what we were doing for the first while... but if you persevere you will find that it is a far superior program to ANY of the Quark applications & the integration with the other Adobe software is fantastic... in a couple of months you won't look back...
  The other thing that has struck me in the last while is that printers (at least in Ireland) almost exclusively take high-res PDFs via the internet now & also send back ripped PDF proofs before printing... gone are the days of printing proofs in-house & sending a disk to the print house...
