the antiseptic toothpaste and alcohols are for rubbing into wounds - the ear plugs, bungs for nostrils - to force people to spend their last few moments breathing through heavily lacerated and swollen mouths.
Ever since I was a kid, I've always liked bubbles and gurgling sounds.
