I used motion dive in the earlier stages, I switched the first time I tried modul8. there is no comparison.

While the most important thing is the content you have, and how comfortable are you w/ the software,
Modul8 gives you waaaaay more control over your content, Motion dive is very easy to use, I give you that, even when it was japanese only you could still figure it out in a few hours.

Modul8 also gives you multiprojection wich before you needed expensive hardware to do it, now if you go to a venue with multiple projectors you can set it up 7 areas and all continuos (meaning that they are all different)

Motion Dive's controller is not that great, you can pick up an akai drum trigger or any other controller you have to in order to make it work with it, if it breaks you switch to the next one, I have used modul8 with many controllers. (you can w/ motion dive too but my point is that their controller is not great)

If you are serious about Vjing, and on a mac, your desicion should be betwen Grid Pro or Modul8, Motion Dive has stayed way behind the curve.

I would still pick Modul8 over Grid Pro, but those 2 are at the moment the top Vj apps for mac.

    hope that helps!
