I kind of understand why though. He was a great GM, but apparently frequently conflicted with Murray and he's been here for the previous years when we sucked too. Since Murray was the GM of Anaheim when their best players were recruited (and composed most of the Stanley Cup winning team), the owner wants to have Murray as the GM and hire a new coach.
I'm nervous, but also excited. We've got the Penguins, Ducks and the Sabres to continue to watch out for this year.
