Didn't make me laugh either, its one thing to make fun of people or compare them to say, a celebrity that does stupid shit to themselves.
However, when you are making a joke of that taste, expect to be frowned on.
This guy even did heinous acts such as having military men pose as "the good guys" and have them lead the general population away from what they though was a war zone, and killed them as they basically walked by.
This included women and children
