  I think you need to define affordable a bit more clearly. DWR is not what I would call affordable, but it's definately beautiful... but, maybe for you - Eames is affordable! :-)

  I'll probably get roasted for this, but if you're looking for pretty swank-looking furniture that will last you for 5 years or so - hit up IKEA. It may be buil-your-own, but it looks sweet and is much better quality than the stuff you'd find at most local stores for the same cost.
