I agree that the work is pretty good.
The site, though, I'd have to say some serious rethinking is in order.
That you did the whole thing as one image is completely unneccesary. That you use pop-ups so extensively is unneccessary.
As for being a rough draft, I'm not sure what you mean. You made a fully functional site - albeit with image maps... - but it's a site 100%. It's not a jpg that you've posted.
For the popups, lightbox is a great alternative - but obviously we're not really sure about how extensive your web skills are.
But good work inside.
