having read through these posts, I have to say that it is a personal matter and the monkeyshine continent theory is utter fucking bullshit.
sorry man, but there is not a rule for this - and not only american culture romanticizes depression these days. I see your point, but you don't have a point either - it happens elsewhere frequently.
