    So how much would you expect to pay for someone to build you a custom widget?

    It's a very unspecified question. I do widgets, but custom ones. Meaning, online marketing, full blown flash applications that cater to a specific market segment and have the ability to phone home while exchanging information to keep the widget updated constantly with fresh information, advertisements etc.

    So asking how much to make one is impossible to answer. What exactly do you need? What type of functionality? and then you can start talking budgets.
