    When it comes to laptops, they're cheaper than sony and not more expensive than dell if you compare feature-for-feature.

    I kind of agree with this. I've been researching for a few weeks now, and the features of the macbook pretty much match with the features of a PC laptop, and they're both around the same price.

    I want something with a lot more portability as well as longer battery life, so I think a macbook would suit me well.

    I realize that the laptop will probably get dirty quickly, but I'm pretty good with keeping things clean. Otherwise I'll just buy the custom keyboard / screen covers you can find.

    I may also run Windows on it, depending on how I like the programs once I get a laptop.
