Buy a pc if you have limited funds like moth said, if you are richer than barry white get a mac.
I am forever getting let down by the macs that I have bought for my work and for my home, the first mac I ever bought has been fine (an old imac DV) I gave this to my folks and have updated it as much as possible.
Don't be seduced by the fact that they are pretty cool machines, it's a real basic equation " I have moey to burn I'll buy a mac" or "I haynae got enough money to pay attention I'll buy a pc" :D
