He's just classy in general.
Here are some things I've noticed:
- he took bad criticism from Ottawa fans for years, most of whom said that he shouldn't be captain anymore (only to change their minds during these playoffs).
- He once gave up a part of his salary to stay on the team and sign up younger players.
- He will sign nearly every autograph he can before leaving the scene, heh. He interacts with the fans A LOT and loves Ottawa since he thinks it's a great place to settle a family (a huge plus for me, hahaha). Also, he has mentioned on several occasions that he doesn't want to leave the team.
Anyway, I'm obviously an Alfie fangirl. He's been my favourite player for years :)
