ooh. just realized they converted to flash video and lost the pop-up -- great move, since watching their old windows media (or whatever it was) video was a drag on macs.
in terms of bandwidth, i don't see a reason why a site like cnn needs to blow out some insane, bandwidth clogging design.
clean, simple, unintrusive, and fast loading should be goals for any site like this.
