Wait, what? Anyway, I concur with the rest of the group. Newmarket sucks ass and there is nothing there as far as design jobs are concerned. They're all downtown.
So, the best advice as said, is live in North York and then commute downtown.
But, with that said, if you and your wife have a car you can live as far south as Young & Eg and her commute to Newmarket wouldn't be that bad and your transit commute would only be about 30mins or so.
