I've only met somewhat popular musicians, I just realized.
Festivals are always good for that sort of thing, unless there are huge fangirls / fanboys. When I met Metric the lead singer was obviously trying to get away from the fanboys/girls and stayed behind some trees near a trailer until the crowd dispersed. I met a few of the band members (who were just having a smoke), and then the whole band came out to sign autographs and stuff.
One of the best experiences of my life, although I didn't know what the say when I met them. Basically didn't have anything to say, to be honest, haha.
