I only just watched the finale, and spoilers were everywhere right after it was finished. For example, I kept waking up at random times during the night because it's so hot over here, and even the conservative radio station here talked about the endings of American Idol and Lost at 4AM. The radio personality described the main points in detail! So I had to actually move to shut the damn radio off so that I couldn't hear it.

    - You can't really compare "Heroes" with "Lost". The season finale of "Lost" was amazing, but "Heroes" had a stronger season throughout, whereas "Lost" was only good in the last half. The dialogue on "Heroes" is pretty cheesy though. "Lost" also has more experienced/known writers.

    Flashforward thing
    ----------------------------

The flashforward scenes were super cool, but unfortunately that damn radio woman gave that away and I couldn't avoid listening to the first part because I was so sleepy and couldn't move to turn it off!

    - Also, someone on the boards mentioned that the island scenes were actually the flashback, and therefore there were no flashforward scenes.

    - However, the funeral parlor had the name "Hoffs/Drawlar", which is an anagram for "flash forward".

    ----------------------------
    Characters
    ----------------------------

JACK / KATE: Ugh. I just can't get myself to like Jack. He was hot with the facial hair, but...I thought I would finally like him, but after seeing more (!!) of his angsty self in the flashforwards, I am kind of disgusted. Even Kate has moved on! That's hella weird, seeing as how she's all angsty on the island as well. I used to really like her but she's become so annoying. Angsty like Jack all the time, pining away for him.

Anyway, obviously both have shit lives in the future. I wonder if Kate gets with Sawyer? Or if that's someone else...

Basically, I think Jack is a necessary character but he's so damn tortured it's sickening. And for once I thought he was finally doing the right thing by standing up for himself when Ben was threatening him! Looks like that doesn't turn out well. Damn.

CHARLIE / DESMOND: I agree with mg. While he could've saved himself, he just "felt" that it was the right time to go. Making Claire and her child happy and safe was the only thing he wanted in the end. Too bad the baby never got his ring :( At least the writers didn't cop out and allow him to live.

He and Desmond had a nice friendship. Seeing Penny at the end was a nice touch, but I saw that coming since the actress's name was revealed in the beginning credits.

Poor Claire. I hope she finds out about her relation to Jack sometime next season. They have like nothing in common. But I have a feeling that Jack never finds out, since he is all alone in the flash forward. Or he could've driven her off, which is entirely possibly given his personality and anger issues.

SAWYER: I hope he's more of himself again next season. He has to cleanse himself of all the angst of killing his arch nemesis.

JULIET: I liked seeing her doing more weird, yet noble things. Still creepy sometimes though. I like her for some weird reason.

SAYID: One of the best parts was when he snapped that dude's neck. He's cool.

ROUSSEAU: I LOLed when she asked her daughter (Alex) to help tie up her father (Ben). Good casting with getting Alex to look like her fake mommy. I used to like that girl when she was on children's shows, heh.

LOCKE: I still don't get him, besides the fact that he may still be religious (although he never talks about it anymore). Walt's all grow'd up!

    HURLEY: awww

    NAOMI: wtf?

    ----------------------------
    Funeral
    ----------------------------

I have no clue as to who was in that coffin. I was hoping they'd reveal it, but we'll have to wait until...oh wait....we may never know! Unless they do more flashforwards.

This is what I found on boards:

During the opening scene of "...Looking Glass" Jack tears out an article from a Los Angeles newspaper. Later outside the Funeral Parlor he reads it. This is what could be determined:

    'Los Angeles (Heading)
Man found dead in downtown loft (subheading)
The body of Jo*****antham of New York was found shorty after 4 a.m. in the ******** of Grand Avenue. '
