email production is basically web design for what u and i know as HTML formatted email. It also encompasses creating campaigns for different types of newsletters and targeting respective audiences, performing tests to see how folks respond to a button being added as opposed to a link.
Content specialist is similar to email production with basically more responsibilities such as microsites, etc. There will be instances where i would be writing more than HTML such as javascript, actionscript, etc...so its def more diverse and suitable for my skillset.
