I'm all for it if thats wot they want, and the chick has a better life than if it had had no parents - i.e growing up unloved, uncared for, not knowing how to socialise with its own species and being hand-reared by Judith the park keeper whose a bit of a feminist on the side - i.e. doesn't wax her upper lip...
