i dont think i'd be using garamond or helvetice for the same logo..
they mean totally different things to me...
Baskerville is much more geometric in its flow (to me it's like the helvetica of the serif world)
but id depends what the brief requires.
a pretyt safe option that ive found.. if they fall in the cliche of "i want traditional but more modern..." i just hit them up with 'The Serif' and its a job well done :P
