I think "On Photography" can only be enjoyed by people who are clinically depressed, or in college.
I read it in college. Twice. I thought it was great.
I met Susan Sontag. Once I was out of college. I thought she was boring, and an awful snob.
Then she hooked up with Annie Liebowitz, and she stopped writing about photography. And Liebowitz got all "serious."
So there's the story.
