I think you might mean My Chemical Romance sounds like The Pumpkins?
There's some tonal overlap here for sure.
Mainly because:
1. Pumpkins and MCR both reference Queen.
2. Roy Thomas Baker helped produce the Pumpkins album. He also produced Queen and the last Darkness album
3. Terry Date also helped produce the Pumpkins album. He worked with the Deftones, Slipknot, etc. You can hear a little of his guitar tones.
4. MCR's production references the sounds of both of these producers heavily.and finally - this is a poor recording.
Come on people - it's the PUMPKINS
