As long as you clearly stated in you're eBay listing that it has a defect in it. For one pixel to be dead anything could had happened. I'm sure you'll beat his claim.
Once someone had a claim against me, but I justified that I stated it to be used and explained it. It ended like 2-3 months later in my favor.
For the future you should always state, "all sales final."
