  Hmm, you should've mentioned it, but I think the industry standards for dead pixels allow for up to 3 (as long as they're not clustered), so a second-hand sale should be even more forgiving.

  I'd've presumed he would be able to ask you directly for a return and refund before contacting paypal - was that the case? if so - how did you respond?
