I remember sometime in '89 I think..we used to go to this little bar in NYC in the West Village called the Scrap Bar (RIP), local rock scene hangout for a loongtime..the cool thing was if any bands played at MSG or at Giants Stadium, they (or their roadies) would end up there...so we walk in late one night and sonofabitch if James and Lars aren't sitting there pounding pitchers already fucking obliverated. We sent over a few pitches, shouted the requisite "metal up your ass!"..and then the singer in our band at the time was chatting up some fine young metal fox when it turned out that she was the girlfriend of one of the biker dudes...well we found him laying in the hallway to the bathroom about 15 minutes later, bleeding and dazed..strong drink wouldn't revive him, so we carried him out to the car, bought him a falafel and went back to the bar.
Good times.
