madirish, I agree that many 'Christians' live in homogenous circles, read no spiritual literature besides the Bible, and in general do not interact with culture. This does not apply to me personally. I have spent much time examining anthropology, philosophers like Kant and Sartres, and engaging actively in the world I have been placed in by doing what I do for a living, interacting with people such as yourself; enjoying, creating and thinking critically about art, music, poetry, you name it. I am not a perfect scholar, but I am curious about other religions and philosophical systems.
Digging into these things often causes me to question my faith, even doubt. But so far nothing else has been good enough.
