I dont have cheap access to developement facilities anymore so I only use digital these days. That said, you can get most great old film lenses to work on a digital slr with an adapter ring, I have had some good results with this setup.
Old russian lenses are really cheap to get off Eastern European ebay type sites too(like allegro etc)
