Mm, I completely agree with rafalski. Making & Breaking is pretty useless, imo - the only analysis of the examples given is an inch x inch schematic on the page side - and even that doesn't seem to tally with the a lot of the pictures provided.
Get yourself a digital copy of that Muller-Brockmann one..
