if i were my own host.. i would be inclined to agree with you. i have my sites hosted, and no matter what platform, a server is only as good as it's sys admin. cheers if you know all the technical specs of every server you work on... i'm sure it helps. i garauntee that about 90% of the designer developers in here know very little or nothing about the "performance benchmarks" of individual servers. so i'm sorry i and alot of other people don't meet your standards for "all web designers".
