  I have two Dell monitors, both flat panel lcds, one started to darken on one corner and both of them are on the blue side of the spectrum despite my efforst to calibrate them. My Apple cinema is great, it hardly needed any calibration (I do a lot of color correction of photos), yes, it's pricey but I think it was worth it.
