    major record labels are scrambling to hold onto as much of their music and keep money coming in because they are crapping themselves.

    alan mcgee, the guy who signed primal scream/oasis and loads of other bands writes some interesting stuff on his myspace page about the demise of the large corporate record companies and their last minute panics to save themselves.

    bands these days arent signing to these massive labels who take all their money.
    it'll be the smaller indipendent labels that keep internet radio alive in the future. thats where a lot of the best and most exciting music is at anyways.
