I went to Boracay (Philippines), a wonderful place. If you have a stop over at Singapore you can buy your laptop there but I would NOT recommend Toshiba. I bought one in Tokyo just a year a ago, and sometimes just like that it turns itself off without any warning. The nice big screen has also started to disintegrate.
I will never buy a Toshiba again.
