also, chances are most people will never dine at a restaurant with a sommelier anyway, so don't worry about it.
Also, since when do we pay people for how hard they work. If that was the case roofers would be driving a mercedes and models a toyota tercel.
We pay more for things that add to the luxury in our life.That being said, it's your money tip however you want.
I personally hate tipping a bartender for opening my beer, but I want it quick so I do.
