at the same time, would you really think a lot about a troubled student that you kind of know from one of your classes?
I would maybe consider him/her and be wary of that person, but I wouldn't report them until something serious occurred.
I suppose the people who referred him to get help for depression could've done something, but no one would've expected him to go on a shooting spree (I'm guessing, anyway).
