I'm not trying to be him dude. I just want to spend a day with my friends doing stuff he liked to do, and in that we celebrate the impact of his work. Some people make movies about him, others drink at the same bars.
I also think it terribly presumptuous to assume he wouldn't approve. I say this because Bukowski specifically drank at Musso and Franks in hollywood because Hemmingway drank there years before.
