the printing will wear off eventually. I tried windex before for a while, but I noticed that after using your keyboard after a thorough cleaning, your fingers get sticky (NPI, loool yuck yuck). The best formula that I found is a little dish soap and water loaded up on a clean paper towel, or thin rag so you can get into all the corners. And not a sopping wet towel or rag obviously. Also Q-tips work wonders. And beer will definitly make your keyboard stop working...THAT I know first hand.
