yeah, give up smoking... it's stupid anyway (although nice)... if you actually give up there's no chance you'll be exposing your kid to the dangers, which are very real... she may not care either way about you drinking (my wife didn't), but then again she might, so if you sense (or she tells you) it pisses her off, why not give up too in solidarity ... she'll be giving up a lot more and going through a lot more discomfort, inconvenience, stress, hormone frenzy and psychic trauma than you, so she might appreciate the gesture... also, be strict about other people smoking around her, and the kid when it arrives... it's seriously bad for tiny lungs...
