Nathan, definitely number 1 or number two for the illustration (not really seeing the blur affect working well with your work on 3). As for the type and layout, I think number 1 is working best as it is integrated with the illustration but ton in the way – which lends all the focus to the work. As for the type, I might close up the leading just slightly on the top 3 lines.
The other option, if you can swing it, is to put your info on the back, and leave the front with various illustrations. Chances are the printer is going to put several up on a sheet, so to change the image on each card (say 6 images for 6 up on a sheet) should extensive additional cost.
