try the deftones. they unfortunatly are classified as nu-metal, but are actually decent.
or if you prefer the shitty kind, then you would probably also like Spineshank and Fear Factory.
others that are fun to listen to yet are lyrically void of intelligence:

Nothingface
Meshuggah (falls under deathmetal i believe though)
Slipknot
mudvaynethough not all of these have the same sound as linkin park (totally devoid of intelligent lyrics again) but some may lean more towards metallicaesque riffs, yet are heavier than metallica.
anyway, dont let my snobby attitude keep you from listening to what you like. slipknot is a guilty pleasure of mine, and you can tell me they suck all ya want, but i still like to break things. heheh.
